What is L3m0nCTF?
L3m0nCTF is the flagship capture-the-flag competition of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, hosted by TIFAC-CORE in Cyber Security.
A CTF is a contest of puzzles. You break, reverse and decode challenges across several tracks, find hidden flags, submit them to earn TRP (television rating points) and climb the scoreboard. Nobody gets hurt, everything is legal, and you learn more in a day than in a month of tutorials.
This year the whole event is a broadcast, themed on the cartoons we grew up with. Pick up the remote and tune in.

FAQ
What is a CTF?
A capture-the-flag contest. Each challenge hides a secret string, the flag. You solve the puzzle, submit the flag and earn TRP, our television rating points. Teams are ranked on a live scoreboard.
When is it?
The prelims start 28 Nov 2026, 10:00 IST (28 Nov 2026, 04:30 UTC) and end 28 Nov 2026, 22:00 IST (28 Nov 2026, 16:30 UTC): twelve hours, all on the same day.
Who can play, and how big can a team be?
Registration is open to all. A team has 1 to 4 players, so you can play alone or bring friends. Each person plays for one team only. The rules have the details.
How do I register?
Registration is not open yet. The button at the top of this page turns into a link the moment it is.
Do I need experience?
No. There is a beginner category for people with no experience, made to teach the basics of CTFs. The other challenges range from easy to hard to extreme, so there is something at every level. Curiosity helps more than anything.
Found a bug?
If you find a bug in the platform or in a challenge, report it to the organisers instead of using it. A bug report can earn bonus TRP, where it applies.
Will it count on CTFtime?
Yes. We are listing it on CTFtime, so results count towards the global rating. The listing link will appear here once it exists.
